Volunteer Interest Form
The nursery provides childcare for children 3 years old and younger, allowing parents to attend the service knowing their young children are being safely cared for in a fun and creative environment.
Sand Castles is our ministry to infants from birth through one year old. Shooting Stars is our ministry to those aged 2 and 3. Volunteers typically serve once every 4 weeks at either the 9:30 or 11:00 service. There are currently needs in the following areas:
Nursery workers care for those under four years old. They engage with the kids, keep them safe, and—if time and attention avails—do a small lesson from the Teach, Take, & Tell Curriculum for toddlers.
Those in 6th grade (age 12) or above are welcome to serve in the Nursery in a supporting role. Their responsibilities are similar to above but no teaching is expected of them.
The scheduling coordinator schedules and coordinates the volunteers serving in the Nursery ministry. Organizational skills and minimal computer knowledge are necessary. This role can be fulfilled from home.
The cleaning coordinator’s primarily responsibility is to ensure that the toys and equipment
in the nursery are frequently cleaned and sanitized. This can be done personally, or by
recruiting others to do it on a bi-weekly to monthly schedule. The service times are self-determined.
