Volunteer Interest Form
Promise Land is our Sunday morning ministry to children from 4 years old through 5th grade. Volunteers of all ages are a vital part of helping our children behold Christ and learn what it means to be a part of a church family. Volunteers typically serve once every 4 weeks at either the 9:30 or 11:00 service. There are currently needs in the following areas:
Promise Land teachers lead the kids in song, review the previous week’s lesson, introduce the present video lesson, and then recap with the students.
A/V volunteers run the laptop and queue the videos for the music and lesson. In addition to this, they fulfill the role of the support staff preceding and following the lesson portion of the service.
Those in the support role help kids remain engaged, lead games and small group discussions, and help with room transitions, snacks, and Bible memory activities. This role is also open to teens.
Those serving on the Promise Land hospitality team welcome and assist families arriving and dropping off their children for Promise Land and Nursery.
The curriculum coordinator puts together the lesson plans for Sunday mornings using the Gospel Project curriculum. This position offers the flexibility to by done at home but requires the self-motivation and organization to meet deadlines. Writing and word processing skills are necessary.
The scheduling coordinator schedules and coordinates the volunteers serving in the Promise Land ministry. Organizational skills and minimal computer knowledge are necessary. This role can be fulfilled from home.
